We all have our own story.  We all come from different walks of life.  Just as each couple has their own love story.  One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is meeting with a newly engaged couple and hearing their love story.  They are so excited to share how they met and how he proposed.  They usually each have their own version of their story too.  I never tire of hearing their love stories.  Often couples ask me about my love story with Farmer J.  So I have decided to share our love story with you, from “Hello” to “I do”.

Our final first date was July 2, 2003. Neither Farmer J nor I can recall what we did! We do both remember that two days later we went out to dinner at Outback Steakhouse and then drove up the Skyway to watch the fireworks. I remember being so excited for our second date that I went to the new downtown Chico boutique, For Elyse, and bought a festive red tank top for the special date on the fourth of July!

During this time frame, I had just moved into an apartment with Farmer J’s sister, Kelli. She was getting married in July of the following year; and Farmer J and I were both in the wedding. I remember discussing with Farmer J that if for some reason we were no longer a couple at the wedding, we had to be civil to enjoy the day. Farmer J asked, “Why do you think we will not be together at Kelli’s wedding?”. I responded, “Have you ever been in a relationship that has not ended?”.  One year later we were still together, and I will never forget how many guests at Kelli’s wedding asked when Farmer J and I were going to get married! I was starting to think that other people were seeing what I saw in my future!
