Janice + Jeremy Bidwell Park | Engagement

When Janice and Jeremy arrived at Bidwell Park in Chico, CA, for their engagement session, I could sense that Janice was a little nervous for their pictures.  Janice had even told me prior to the session that taking pictures in front of a big professional camera was out of her comfort zone.  She is not alone!  I feel awkward in front of the camera too!  I told Janice that I would walk her through every moment of their session.  Janice did not need me.  She had Jeremy.  Jeremy comforted her by whispering in her ear, lightly brushing his thumb against her cheek, and pulling her in for a hug.  This usually resulted in wonderful genuine Janice laughter.  These were some of my favorite pictures from their engagement session.  You can view more engagement sessions from 2018 here: Julia and Nick, Kaylen and Anthony, Ashley and Thomas, and Kaylin and Brandon.

Ever since the day that Janice and Jeremy had a friend introduce them, they have barely had a day pass without seeing each other.  Jeremy proposed to Janice at the Wheatland Pumpkin Patch.  He was set up in the middle of a corn maze pathway.  He was located in a dead end in the maze.  Jeremy was feeling nervous about the approaching proposal, and he was also worried about losing the ring in the corn maze.  When Janice made a turn in the maze and saw Jeremy looking odd; she thought that Jeremy was having a heart attack!  Jeremy was down on one knee and his hand was near his chest.  Jeremy then surprised Janice by asking her to be his wife.  Janice was partly mad at him for scaring her, and she was also thrilled!

Janice and Jeremy, I smile as I look through your engagement gallery.  Your pictures truly reflect your relationship.  It is easy to see the love you two have for one another.  While watching you two interact, I saw the respect you have for each other.  You are playful, loving, and supportive.   I love how #thejanicelaugh brings a spark to Jeremy’s eyes.  This makes my heart so happy for you two!   I hope your relationship blooms as your wedding day approaches and last a lifetime.
