The glowing sunshine disappeared behind the clouds right before Ashley and Thomas’ engagement session started in lower Bidwell Park.  The rain sprinkled intermittently until we began, and it was not seen again that evening.  Even with the cloud cover and scattered showers, park goers were still passing through the beautiful park.

When Ashley and Thomas pulled up and stepped out of the car, I was blown away by what a handsome couple they made!  Thomas was looking dapper in his grey and blue ensemble, and Ashley was gorgeous from head to toe!  The custom bouquet by Cambray Rose was the perfect touch for their romantic session.  They coordinated their wardrobe well, but their personalities and love is really what shined in their engagement pictures.  What I noticed the most was the incredible amount of love, kindness, and warmth Ashley and Thomas shared for each other.  They were so comfortable together, and they truly made my job easy.  I caught myself smiling throughout their session with their positivity and their sweet personalities.

Ashley and Thomas, I am so happy you made a trip to Chico for your gorgeous engagement pictures!!  Thanks for bringing Aunt Sydney along to babysit.  She surprised me when she opened the car door!  Katie and I truly had so much fun with you two!  You are so lucky to have each other in your lives and your sweet baby boy is even luckier to have you as his parents.  You two complement each other so well!  You have what so many other people are searching to have one day.  I am so glad that Thomas emailed Ashley on his first day of his new job, sat behind her at the A’s game, surprised her with a getaway to Yosemite, and took her on a ten mile hike before he proposed!!  I cannot wait to photograph your wedding and document this very special day!  Hugs!
