Emily and Tucker had originally planned to have their wedding on the West Shore of Lake Almanor. The Dixie Fire made them make some tough decisions a couple of weeks before their wedding date. Although it was a difficult decision, canceling the Almanor location was a wise choice. After bouncing around to a few other possibilities, they ended up with the ceremony and reception being held in a dear friend’s backyard. At the end of the day, the location is not what matters. (Although it was stunning!). The love that Emily and Tucker share is the most important and now they are married! You can view Emily and Tucker’s engagement session here.
Once Emily and Tucker decided that needed to cancel their Lake Almanor plans, Tucker suggested that they wait until next summer. Emily did not want to wait that long. She was ready to get married! They continued with their wedding plans, decision after decision, and things still were not going their way. They persevered and ended up with a beautiful getting-ready location, a stunning garden location for their ceremony, and an ideal reception. Understandably, their closest family and friends were there to support the bride and groom through all of these strenuous decisions.
Emily and Tucker, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your intimate wedding day. I know this wedding day was not what you envisioned when you first got engaged, but I think you two should be pretty happy with how everything turned out because the day was beautiful! The sun shined, the smoke was minimal, there were only smiles, and love. Lots of love! I am so excited for you two to see some of my many favorites from your wedding day. I smiled the whole time I was with the two of you and I smiled the whole time I was creating your wedding day blog post. I am so happy for the two of you! Hugs!
