Emily + Tucker Upper Bidwell Park

It was easy to feel the love between Emily and Tucker at their fall engagement session in Upper Bidwell Park.  Their session was filled with joy, laughter, and smiles.  They complement each other as a couple and they are some of the nicest people I have ever met.  When I got home from their engagement session, I shared with Farmer J how I felt like my cup had been filled up with positivity and I could not stop talking about how lovely they were to be around.  You can view more engagement sessions here.

How They Met

Emily and Tucker originally met at Joe’s Bar in Chico with a group of friends.  At the time, Emily was in a relationship, but she made a lasting impression on Tucker’s heart.  Once her had relationship ended, Tucker asked Emily out on a double date with a friend.  They went to Tres Hombres in Chico and then they cruised around the dirt roads.  Again, Emily won Tucker over because before he knew it, he was making trips to Concord to take Emily out on dates.

The Proposal

Tucker bought a ring for Emily in December of 2019.  It was burning a hole in his pocket and the coronavirus was not helping him!  In July of 2020, Tucker was able to arrange an unforgettable proposal.  He took Emily out to Chrissy Field in San Francisco.  Due to the coronavirus, the trip down to the city was fast and there were limited people in the field.  Once Tucker dropped down to one knee and Emily said yes, he asked her to turn around.  At that moment, Emily’s parents and brother appeared from behind a building.  Even with the long wait for Tucker to actually get down on one knee, it all paid off with a yes from Emily!

Emily and Tucker, I truly had a wonderful time with you two at your engagement session.  Not all couples bring me a gift at their engagement session!  This says so much about your character and the two of you as a couple.  I love that your love story started in Chico and this is where you chose to have your engagement session.  Your whole gallery is gorgeous and I had the hardest time selecting which pictures to share for your blog post.  I cannot wait for you to see some of my many favorites from your fall engagement session.

  1. […] Emily and Tucker had originally planned to have their wedding on the West Shore of Lake Almanor. The Dixie Fire made them make some tough decisions a couple of weeks before their wedding date. Although it was a difficult decision, canceling the Almanor location was a wise choice. After bouncing around to a few other possibilities, they ended up with the ceremony and reception being held in a dear friend’s backyard.  At the end of the day, the location is not what matters. (Although it was stunning!). The love that Emily and Tucker share is the most important and now they are married!  You can view Emily and Tucker’s engagement session here. […]
