I recently had the wonderful opportunity to take Tiffany and Austin’s engagement pictures at Canyon Oaks Country Club, in Chico.  Austin frequently golfs here, and he has even officiated a wedding here; so he was very familiar with the grounds!  We all enjoyed the turkeys, geese, and jackrabbits that passed by.  If you would like to see some more recent engagements, please check out the following blogs:  Haylee and Derek, Janice and Jeremy, Kaylin and Brandon, and Julia and Nick.

How They Met

Tiffany and Austin met through a mutual friend and then became MySpace friends.  Tiffany moved home to Tahoe and then back to Chico to attend nursing school.  Austin got in contact with Tiffany, and he asked her out on a date.  She was not certain they had met before, but Austin insisted that they had. Their first date was at Sierra Nevada.  Each year, Tiffany and Austin return to Sierra Nevada to celebrate their anniversary.

The Proposal

For their anniversary dinner last year, they were having dinner at Sierra Nevada, and it was nearing the end of their dinner.   Austin placed a jewelry box on the table.   Austin often gives Tiffany jewelry, so she wasn’t surprised to see a jewelry box.  She opened the box, saw the gorgeous ring, and snapped the box shut!  She was in shock that he had “the ring!”  During this time, Austin had moved right next to her chair.  He had knelt down to one knee and asked Tiffany to marry him.  She said yes!  Tiffany was in shock from their exciting evening, so they kept their current plans and continued on to their miniature golf date!

Tiffany and Austin, it is easy to see how much love you two share for each other by the way you two interact, embrace one another, and laugh together!  It touched my heart to see how much fun you two had when you were wrapped up in each other’s arms and getting close!  You made the best of our time together, and my hope is that you two enjoyed capturing this chapter of your lives.  Katie and I truly had a wonderful evening with you two.  I know I am having too much fun when I cannot stop laughing and should be taking pictures!  I am so excited to capture your wedding day in September!  I cannot wait for you to see some of my many favorites from your engagement session!
