Patricia desired to meet in Lower Bidwell Park for her Mother’s Day Mommy and Me session, because she and her girls play at this park often. Patricia wanted to capture this moment as a gift to herself, her girls, and the girls’ grandparents. Patricia came prepared with extra outfits, snacks, and beverages for the girls. She also had a friend, Lindsay Man at Broken Oak Acres, prepare two bouquets of flowers for their session; and she brought a sign for her almost one-year-old’s portrait.
Patricia’s older daughter really allowed her personality to shine through, and it can be seen in the pictures below. She wanted her mommy, Patricia, to take a picture of the two of us together! I loved that she wanted to include me in the pictures. My favorite smiles from her were when I shared that I thought her mommy was going to get mad at me. This little lady loved the idea of me getting in trouble! She did assure me that her mommy was not going to get mad. I could not resist her stunning curly-cues! When I focused on her beautiful curls, and not this little lady’s face, her smile shined bright! I may have suggested, “do not smile”, in the hopes for some genuine smiles. Patricia, I had such a wonderful evening with you and your sweet little ladies. Everyone did such an amazing job, and I love the pictures that we captured. Your preparation paid off, because your gallery is beautiful. I still smile every time I look through your pictures. I hope these pictures made for wonderful Mother’s Day gifts for the women in your lives, and I hope that you were able to frame these as a gift to yourself. You deserve it! Your little ladies are growing so quickly; I hope these pictures bring a smile to your face as you remember this moment in time.
