We traded a rainy day for a sunny and warm day at Upper Bidwell Park in Chico, CA.  Julie and her children had originally planned to have their family session the week prior, but we were caught in the middle of a big storm sweeping across the area.  We made the right decision, because the sunlight was perfect as it flickered through the oak tree leaves.  We were not acclimated to the warmth of that day, but it made us look forward to those long summer days.

Julie and her children frequent Upper Park and the trails often.  They all told stories of snakes, and the children shared their favorite rocks to stand on.  When they venture up to the iconic Monkey Face, they sit at the top and eat a snack together.  Even though everyone was dressed up, they acted like it was just another hiking adventure.  Julie brought a change of shoes and slipped into her cute black wedges when we stopped for pictures.  There were not any complaints or questions about how much longer.  Everyone looked beautiful from start to finish.  Julie did an amazing job selecting her family’s wardrobe.  Everyone looked stunning!  Dressing up for a family session really brings a wow factor to your pictures!  Julie had her hair and makeup done by Lindsey Lifur at Mecca Salon.  Cambray Rose created the beautiful flower crown.

Julie, thank you for taking me on a hike with your family.  I was definitely more afraid of seeing snakes than your family!  I love that you get to experience our beautiful park so often with your babies.  You are creating wonderful memories every time you take a hike.  Your two beautiful babies are so close, and I can see this through your pictures.  I hope that you frame these pictures to fill your new home with memories from this day.  You have captured a priceless moment in time.  Your gallery is stunning!
