Fall had arrived on the campus of California State University, Chico. The leaves were sprinkled with greens, yellows, and golden hues. The creek that winds through campus carried some beautiful leaves with it as they floated downstream. The campus was active with students visiting the campus and locals taking a walk through campus.
Sharee contacted me, because she wanted a family portrait session while her son and his family were visiting from Texas over Thanksgiving. The day of the session, as each family arrived and got out of their vehicles, a couple of labradors jumped out of the trucks too! The dogs play a large role in their lives and are a part of the family. They were some lucky dogs to be included in their family pictures. We were able to capture many pictures of the whole family together with their family dogs, and a variety of pictures with each individual family, grandparents with their grandchildren, cousins, and some couples pictures. It was fun for the cousins to be together, and it was nice for Sharee and Michael to get some updated pictures with all of their children and grandchildren! I had the pleasure of taking Dianne and Nick’s family pictures at California State University, Chico, over the summer too. (It was one of the hottest days of the year!) You can see their blog post here.
Sharee and Michael, it was wonderful to see your family all together. I love all of the joy and laughter your family has when they are all together! It was wonderful to see the cousins play together. You are so lucky to have a family that will travel a great distance to be together during the holidays. I hope you cherish these special moments and these pictures from your session. You have some precious images and they will be cherished for years to come.
