Elyssa and Jack are getting married! They celebrated their engagement with a session in Upper Bidwell Park.  They have plans to wed in the spring.  Elyssa and Jack are a fun couple with a vibrant love connection. The love they share was easy to see by the way they giggled, flirted, and smiled with each other.  You can view more engagement sessions here.

Fun Fact: Elyssa was Yogi’s physical education teacher this past school year.

 

How They Met

Elyssa and Jack first met while running for Chico State’s cross country and track teams.  By their sophomore year, they had started to date and they have not stopped.

 

The Proposal

Elyssa and Jack had plans to eat dinner at a casual restaurant in San Diego.  As Elyssa was getting ready for their dinner date, Jack had asked her if she wanted to dress up more than what she currently had on.  Elyssa was puzzled and did not really want to change her clothes for dinner.  After dinner, they went for a walk on the beach and Jack kept encouraging Elyssa to walk further.  Little did she know, Jack had his brother sitting with a group of kind strangers waiting to take pictures of the proposal.  Once they reached the right spot on the beach, Jack got down on one knee and asked Elyssa to marry him.  She said yes!  Both of their families were dining at the restaurant next door to where they ate, so they had lots of family support and congratulations after the proposal.

 

Elyssa and Jack, thank you for trusting me with your engagement session.  Upper Park was the perfect setting for your session, as I am sure you have ran quite a few miles on these trails.  It was wonderful to meet you!  You two are perfect for each other.  You made my evening easy and fun.    I look forward to watching your love story grow.  I am excited for you to see some of my favorites from your engagement session.
