Josephine and David invited me to the Atwood Ranch in Red Bluff for their engagement session in the foothills.  This location holds a special place in Josephine’s heart, because she used to work on the ranch.  This is the same location as their wedding next month.  The rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for their engagement session. How They Met

Josephine and David first met when she went to visit a friend.  They had shared a wonderful conversation that evening.  A few months had passed by, and Josephine was going out of town and looking for a dog sitter.  A friend suggested that David and his roommate watch her dog.  David passed the dog sitting test!  A friend had suggested to David for him to take their relationship extremely slow.  David listened to his friend’s advice and kept inviting Josephine out, but good friends were all that they were during that time.  Ten months went by of shooting targets together, visiting farmer’s markets, and hikes.  Finally, David next suggested that they go on a date.  Josephine still gives David a hard time today about taking things so slowly.  😉

The Proposal

Josephine had a stressful week at work, and she had also been fighting off a cold.  David had invited Josephine over to enjoy the fire pit after dinner.  She thought that this was a great way for her to unwind from her busy week.  David made Josephine a drink as she settled in by the fire pit.  David sat down next to her, and he started saying extremely nice things to her.  She replied with nice comments back to David.  Then the cat started to bother the dog, and this caused the dog to start barking.  Josephine had to get up and pick up the cat.  As she returned, David continued with the kind words.  Again she continued to return his sweet comments.  David shared with her that he really needed her to stop talking.  David then got down on one knee and proposed to Josephine.  She said yes!

Josephine and David, what a gorgeous location to get married!  I am so excited about your wedding day next month!  Thank you for inviting me out to this stunning ranch and for the tour.  You two will rock your wedding day pictures.  I loved getting a glimpse into your relationship and seeing you interact.  Your giggles and whispers are exactly what I love to witness during engagement sessions.  You two were happy to do anything as long as you were together. I am so excited for you to see some of my many favorites from your country engagement session.
