When Megan and Thomas contacted me about their engagement session, they had a specific date that they were hoping to have their session. They were in luck; because even though my February was filling up, I had the exact date available. When we arrived at their session, I asked what made the day special. They shared that on this date they went for a hike in Upper Bidwell Park, and from that moment on they knew that they going to be together. You can view more engagement sessions here.
Megan and Thomas met through the dating app Tinder. They both swiped right! Megan’s initial reaction was that she thought Thomas was attractive, but she also wondered why he looked familiar. She then realized that he had just started to follow her on Instagram. She looked him up and saw that they had mutual followers; one of the followers being one of Megan’s best friends. Megan contacted her friend and asked her about Thomas. Her friend shared that she had being meaning to introduce the two of them. Megan and Thomas went out on their first date to sushi at the RawBar. Megan and Thomas met up again two days later for a hike in Bidwell Park with Megan’s dog.
Megan and Thomas had been dating for close to six years. It was during the Christmas holiday. They had decided not to exchange gifts but only to do stockings for each other. Thomas grew up with his stocking items all individually wrapped. Thomas planned ahead and placed the wrapped ring in the ring box at the toe of the stocking, and then he placed socks over the ring. He knew that when Megan pulled out socks, the ring was next. Once Megan pulled out the socks and then the ring box, Thomas got down on one knee and asked Megan to marry him. She said yes! Being Christmas Day, both of their families were coming to their house for Christmas festivities; and everyone was able to celebrate together!
Megan and Thomas, what a fun engagement session! You two made my job so easy and fun. Your two puppy dogs brought extra smiles to my face! When I look at your pictures, I see smiles; but I also see the love you two share. Your giggles and genuine smiles cannot be hidden! You two comfortably held those super close moments and then giggled as Thomas whispered into Megan’s ear. I hope that these pictures get passed down for generations to enjoy. I am so excited for you to see some of my many favorites from your engagement session in Upper Bidwell Park.
[…] Megan and Thomas are married! They exchanged their own very entertaining vows as they wed this past weekend at stunning The Barn at Pheasant Trail Ranch in Chico, CA. Some of their vows included the possibility of not being home for their anniversary because Thomas may very well be gone hunting and that soup does not count as a meal! In-suite of their vows, their wedding day was just as much fun. These two are the real deal and their kiss at the altar sealed the deal. You can view Megan and Thomas’ engagement session here. […]
