Scott and I went to high school together. I got to know him better as we sat next to each other in our high school photography class. Years later, I ran into him on the campus of California State University, Chico; and I was so jealous that he was enrolled in a photography class. I was so excited when Scott reached out to me about photographing his wedding just after his engagement to Amanda.
A few years ago, Amanda and Scott first bumped into each other during the Slice of Chico in downtown Chico. Since that day, they have not been able to lose sight of one another. Just this past spring, Scott and Amanda were in Hawaii on a family vacation. Scott had waited until the last day of vacation and until their final sunset to propose to Amanda. Their three-year-old daughter had been carrying the ring in her pocket, and she was so anxious to share the ring with her mommy. When Amanda saw something in their daughter’s hands, she asked her what she was holding. At that moment, Scott got down on one knee and asked Amanda to marry him. She said yes!! Amanda and Scott will be exchanging their vows next month at a private residence for their romantic garden wedding.
When Amanda shared that they will be bringing a Porsche for their engagement session, I knew that the classic car would help to create beautiful pictures. However, when I saw them strut out in their black and white attire, their pictures shifted from cute to debonair! From the moment Amanda and Scott changed into their formal outfits, a new confidence arose; and they rocked their engagement session in Upper Bidwell Park! You can view more engagement sessions here.
Amanda and Scott, your engagement session may be my favorite engagement to date! I have a feeling that there will be future AE Couples striving for your refined elegance. I loved getting a glimpse into your relationship to see how you two interact with each other. I cannot wait to photograph your wedding next month. You two are officially professionals, and your wedding day will be a breeze. I hope you enjoy some of my many favorites from your session.
