The California State University, Chico, campus was blooming with spring blossoms and colors! The creek that runs through the middle of the campus was lined with new growth and colorful flowers. This was the perfect environment for a college senior portrait session for Sydney. The campus was closed for the Easter holiday, so the campus was fairly quiet except for a few people enjoying the campus and taking in her beauty.
Sydney will be graduating from Azusa Pacific University next month. She is hoping to only take off the summer before she begins on her next adventure. Sydney would love to pursue a career in helping today’s youth stay on good tracks to be successful young adults. Sydney’s mother, Diana, happily accepted my invitation to join in a few pictures. It was a good thing Diana joined in, because she helped to produce plenty of genuine smiles and laughter from her graduating college senior! Sydney made my job so easy, because she was great at following directions. She even handled my more difficult posing with ease.
Sydney came prepared to wear her graduation cap and gown. There are only a few times in a lifetime when a person gets to wear this ensemble. I suggest to wear it with pride when you do! Sydney, I had a wonderful time spending the afternoon with you and your mother! You two are such a joy to be around together, and you are so lucky to have the bond that you have formed. The laughter you two share is contagious, and I see how strong your relationship has grown over the years. You are a smart young lady that is capable and up to the challenge of helping out our young people. I hope that one day your career will bring you back up to Northern California and you can be close to your hometown once again! Carpools and daily lunches with your mother may be in your future! Your college senior gallery is stunning, and all of the credit goes to you for being so easy for me to pose and shoot. I hope you enjoy these pictures for years to come! What an accomplishment you have achieved. Not everyone is a college graduate; you are one of the stellar people out there!
