This session was on the windiest day of the year. This was the same day that all of the fires started in Northern California.  As I was leaving my house for this early morning session, I thought that it was pretty windy. As I approached the rice fields, I realized that the wind at my house was nothing! The skies were filled with clouds of dust.

As I approached the house we were meeting at, the mother of the family raced out to greet me.  She hugged me; and I followed her to our new, last minute location change for this session. We had planned to be out in the open, but the strong winds forced us to find some protection.  She had scoped out a few possible locations earlier in the morning, and they were amazing!  I complimented on her last minute location scouting skills.  We ended up at a grandfather’s dairy farm.  It was the perfect wind free location!  I love when a location has some meaning to the family.

As a whole, the group looked amazing; and the individual families looked stunning together.  Please take note at how well everyone coordinated their wardrobes!  I could not stop complimenting how well dressed everyone was, especially early in the morning!  Everyone was so kind the whole session.  They were willing to get up early, endure the wind, and dress up all to get a family picture together.

I was lucky to capture the group picture and individual family pictures before a little boy fell asleep in his mother’s arms.  He is asleep in the grandchildren picture in his grandfather’s arms.  Life is so precious!  These family pictures are so important to have taken.  They will live on for generations to admire and to see that their mommy or daddy was the tiny baby in the picture.  They will see the love in their great grandparents’ eyes and all of the love in their family still being passed down to them.  Be kind.  Love with all your heart.  Laugh everyday.
