It had been very windy, and the wind finally calmed down for this fall portrait session.  The sun was still giving us unusually warm weather for this time of year.  As we made our trek to our location, I was admiring Kristi’s make-up she had professionally done prior to the session.  She also had a friend style her hair for their fall family portraits.  She truly looked stunning!   I then asked their daughter if her mommy did her fancy braids in her hair, and she told me no.  She shared that both she and her brother had their hair styled too!

While the kids took a break from taking pictures, they played with sticks and talked about how there could be snakes in the grass.  I took advantage of this time to capture the handsome couple, Kristi and Dustin.  As I moved them through some poses of sharing a kiss and then to looking into each other’s eyes, my favorite pictures were the ones with their genuine smiles and laughter.  Kristi and Dustin snuck in some impromptu kisses, because it felt comfortable and natural as I had them pull each other in close.  I love seeing pictures of the family smiling and enjoying their time together, but I truly enjoy giving a couple a few minutes to be just that, a couple.

Kristi and Dustin, what a fun and memorable time we spent together.  I love getting the opportunity to see your babies’ personalities shine through my camera lens.  I cannot believe you were leaving for Disneyland that next morning and your evening was not even close to being complete after our session.  You all brought your best smiles and laughter despite your busy agenda.  You have a beautiful gallery to document this evening and this moment in time.  My hope is that you frame your favorites to enjoy for a lifetime.
