Where It All Began

When we walked onto the Honey Run Covered Bridge, Mrs. walked right to the spot where Mr. got down on one knee and proposed to her 32 years ago. He had no problem cuddling in close to his wife to make the most of this moment for her.  Their grown children returned home for a neighbor’s wedding that evening, but they were told by their mother that they were not going to be in this shot.  This was a location only for Mr. and Mrs!

Since all of their children had just flown in the evening prior to our session and were going to be together, Mrs. was hoping for an updated family portrait out of this time together.  As soon as I heard this was where Mr. proposed, I knew there was going to be some updated couple portraits for an anniversary session as well!  They both rocked their couple portraits down by the creek and on the covered bridge where it all began years ago. Their children got a peek back in time as they learned of their proposal story and saw their parents together on this bridge.  The whole family took stunning family portraits!  I am not sure who deserves credit for their coordinating colors, but they did a remarkable job with their wardrobe, flowers, and backup shirts and jackets.  Their children took some sibling pictures together and then individual ones.  Even though they are grown children, they still teased each other like siblings do.  I am sure many of us can relate!  Mrs. and Mr. each took an individual picture with their babies; one at a time.  When there is more than one child, it can be rare to get a picture with only one child and a parent.

The images from this session will be cherished; especially the pictures from their spot on the covered bridge.
