I often see members of this family around town. The parents are always at their children’s sporting events and school functions. The grandparents arrive for special occasions. I love that this family knows that their quality time together is important. They are creating memories by just being together. Family is something that some of us may take for granted. If you have family that is close in distance and close in your heart, you are unbelievable lucky.
When I first arrived to the location of this large family session, I was worried there was an event going on due to the cars and number of dressed up people hanging around. No, it was all for this session! This is the first time a family has gotten to a session earlier than me. I was not late. I was on time and arrived at my usual early time before the session begins. The mother that had arranged this session, kept everyone on a tight timeline and made sure everyone left the house on time and arrived early to the location. I had more than enough helpers to help me move my gear and some chairs to our location.
Once everyone was gathered around, introductions were made; and I had to compliment everyone on how sharp they all looked! Great style and attitudes during the whole session! The whole group was great at listening and following my directions. We got started with the large group picture first. I then moved quickly through the grandparents with their grandchildren, all the adults together, grandchildren, each family, siblings, couples, and a few individuals. This is where my physical education teaching came in handy.
As each family finished up, they were excused to head back into town for pizza. Everyone was getting hungry and so were the mosquitos. They made their appearance, but I did not get a bite. I think they were only after the sweet ones!
