I first met Jake when I was in college. His sister was best friends with my roommate (also Farmer J’s cousin). I must have met Lisa a few years later when she and Jake started to date. Years ago, we all lived in the same neighborhood and Lisa and Jake were the first to move away. They ended up moving to Orland and with the move they gained an olive orchard. For the past few years, Lisa and Jake have had their fall family sessions on their property in their olive orchard. You can do more family portrait sessions here.
The moment I arrived, I was welcome and by Lisa and Jake’s adorable children. I have probably only seen their children a handful of times in person, but they acted like we were old friends and they were so happy to show off their home and animals! I smiled the whole time I was with Lisa and Jake’s family and I continued to smile as I edited their gallery. We were able to capture plenty of family pictures, plus lots of combinations with Lisa and Jake and their babies. Their puppy dog, Lady, and some of their chickens even made the pictures!
Lisa and Jake, thank you so much for inviting me to your home to capture your fall family pictures in your olive orchard. Your children are so lucky to be able to grow up in this environment. It was great to see the two of you again, but your children truly made my evening. You two are excelling at the job of parenting because your children are absolute sweethearts! I could have hung out with them all day. I am so excited for you to see some of my many favorites from your family session at your home.
