The sun was soft, flattering, and romantic on the evening of this fall family portrait session in Upper Bidwell Park in Chico. The leaves were changing from their green color to yellow and some reds. When the sunlight hit the leaves just right, they were sheer with a golden soft glow.
I received all smiles and laughter from their family throughout their session. Everyone was on their best behavior, and the siblings were happy to take pictures with one another. Their daughter did an amazing job listening to my tips and instructions. She had perfected putting her hand on her hip, and she had the cutest little bend in her knee while posing. They took a quick break to change their clothes, and I smiled when I saw their son get distracted with a large stick. It was so nice to see that he had been given the opportunity to be a child, and he took advantage of this! When I took some pictures of just Monika and Jeff, I was able to capture their genuine smiles, and I could see their love spread across their faces. Once we completed our session, everyone was still in good spirits. Jeff had to return to work! What an amazing family guy to take a break from work to be able to join his family for a portrait session.
Monika and Jeff, I had the most marvelous time getting to know you and your children. You are doing an amazing job raising them, because they were the sweetest and most polite children. I love seeing the relationship your family shares, and I hope it continues to flourish over the years. I hope you cherish your pictures and had as much fun as I did during your session. I look forward to seeing more of you at Bunco, Monika!
