Rikki and James are getting married!  They celebrated their engagement with a session at Peregrine Point Disc Golf Couse in Upper Park.  They brought mementos from home that represent their interests and hobbies that were photographed and helped to document this special chapter in their lives.  Rikki and James are a fun couple and their pictures came to life from their joy and the love they share.  You can view more engagement sessions here.

How They Met

Rikki had downloaded a dating app, and the next day James had notified her. They started to message back and forth and within that week they were on their first date at Wine Time in Chico. They continued to have a date each Thursday for the next month.

The Proposal

James had carefully selected and placed an order for an engagement ring. While he was waiting for the ring to be completed, Rikki’s family had been going through some stressful times, and Rikki was very impressed with how supportive James have been to her and her family. She impulsively asked James to marry her right then and there. James was taken aback and knew that he had a ring coming so he politely requested some time to pass to respectfully separate Rikki’s family situation and the proposal. He did not wish for them to be associated with or steal anything from Rikki’s family at this difficult time. A few months passed, and with her busy back-to-school schedule, they finally had a free weekend. Rikki and James escaped to Fort Bragg.  They went grocery shopping and made grilled cheese and tomato soup. They were eating outside when it started to sprinkle and James proposed to Rikki. She said yes!

Rikki and James, thank you for trusting me with your engagement session.  You two are officially professionals for your wedding day!  I enjoyed my time spent with you two.  You two are fun to be around the love you share is easy to see between your flirting and stolen kisses.  I am excited for you to see some of my many favorites from your engagement session.
