Treva and Ryan each got ready for their wedding day on opposite sides of the river.  When it was time for the First Look, Ryan took his place up on the hillside, close to the ceremony location.  Treva’s brother drove her up to the meeting location.  Treva got out; and as she made her way to her soon-to-be-husband, excitement filled the air.  There is nothing like those anxious beautiful moments before the bride and groom see each other for the first time on their wedding day.  Ryan turned around to greet Treva with an amazing happy smile, and he embraced Treva with a big hug.  You can view more wedding blog posts here.

How They Met

Treva and Ryan met as friends first. Ryan and his roommate had been taking their laundry over to Treva‘s apartment complex for free laundry. During that time, Treva and Ryan were trying to get each of their roommates to date each other. This is when Treva and Ryan started to connect during their interactions. It did not take them long to realize that they were actually the roommates that should be dating. For their first date, they had a trip to the donut store; and the second date was an escape to the beach.

The Proposal

Ryan went to the donut shop to get a box of donuts, and he took them with him to the same beach where they had one of their first dates. Treva and Ryan had been talking about marriage, and Ryan was worried that seeing a donut box would tip Treva off. When they got to the beach, Ryan had Treva climb up a rock as he carried the donut box.  When they were both upon the rock, Ryan got down on one knee and opened up the donut box. Treva saw that the donuts read “will you marry me?”. Treva was so excited that she did not answer Ryan’s question. Ryan had to ask, “Is that a yes?”.

Treva and Ryan, thank you for much for trusting me with your wedding day pictures.  It was easy to see how much love you two share and why you desired to get married at Treva’s home.  Not only was the Oak Bar Lodge where the two of you first met, but the ceremony hillside site was breathtaking!  The love you two share is easy to see. I loved catching the two of you making eye contact with each other throughout your wedding day.  You are well-loved by each guest in attendance at your wedding, and you have an amazing support system.  I look forward to watching your love story grow.  I am so excited for you to see some of my many favorites from your wedding day!
