I did not know it at the time Daniel and Lucas had selected this Upper Park location for their engagement session, but Danielle shared that she used to work at the Bidwell Park Golf Course. I always love when the location holds a special place in someone’s heart. This must be why Danielle and Lucas’ engagement session was absolutely stunning!  Their carefree and fun attitudes were an additional perk. I always love it when a couple acts like they are on a date and truly enjoying themselves and their time together during an engagement session.  Danielle and Lucas did exactly this and more!  You can view more engagement sessions here.

How They Met

Danielle and Lucas went to high school together and they started to get close, but with Lucas being three years older, her parents were not a fan of their relationship. Years later, Danielle ended up reaching out to Lucas on social media and they started chatting. He suggested that she hop on a plane to visit him in Hawaii. She said that she cannot just hop on a plane to Hawaii and he reassured her that she could. So, she did! This was when they started to date.

The Proposal

Danielle and Lucas started to build a house together in January 2020. Due to COVID, everything moved slower than they expected. February 2021, they finally became new homeowners! They invited closest family and friends to help them celebrate the occasion and help with the move. The moment that Danielle and Lucas crossed the threshold of their new house, Lucas dropped down to one knee and proposed to Danielle. She said yes!

Danielle and Lucas, you two made my job so easy and fun! Your gallery has an absurd number of pictures in it because you two were up for anything and you had smiles on your faces while doing it. The love in your relationship is easy to see by all of the extra smiles, twirls, and sticking your tongues out at each other. The giggles that the two shared on the blanket while sipping on the whiskey made there be no doubt in my mind that you two are absolutely a perfect fit for each other.  I do not always leave a session from my cheeks hurting from smiling so much!  I am so excited for you to view some of my many favorites from your engagement session in upper Bidwell Park.
