Shay had her hair and makeup done in the presence of her mother and bridesmaids.  Once she was wedding day ready, Shay was escorted down the street to her first look with her father.  Her father was positioned with his back to her, and he was standing under the willow tree.  Shay tapped her father’s shoulder, and he then turned around.  They both fought back tears as they each exclaimed that they were not crying.  After a long embrace, Shay was then off to share a first look with her soon-to-be husband, Matt.  Matt was also in a position with his back to his bride.  As Shay walked towards him, you could feel the excitement in the air.  Shay tapped Matt on his shoulder.  He did not turn around.  She giggled as she tapped him again.  Once more, Matt did not turn around.  This created a wonderful embrace and smiles once he finally did turn around and he was then able to take in all of Shay’s beauty!

The pandemic put some added stress on Shay and Matt as they planned their wedding.  There were moments of uncertainty in their planning process.  When Matt proposed to Shay at the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas, they had no clue how our world would change over the next year.  They started planning for a large wedding, and they did not stop.  They were so grateful to have a wonderful turn out for their wedding day.  The warmth of the sunshine was an added bonus to celebrate their love!  You can view Shay and Matt’s engagement session here.

Shay and Matt, I have enjoyed following your love story. Thank you so much for trusting Jason and me to document your wedding day.  You have the kindest family and most supportive friends.  The love you two share is easy to see.  Your giggles are contagious, and your love radiates to the loved ones around you.  I hope that your wedding day pictures make you smile, and you relive your big day.  I hope that these pictures are passed down for generations to enjoy.  Congratulations on your new titles, Husband and Wife!  I am so excited for you to see some of my many favorites from your wedding day!
