The timing of Andrea and Jason‘s engagement session was absolutely perfect for the almond blossoms blooming.  Jason currently lives in North Dakota, and he was in California for this fantastic weather and almond blossoms.  While he was in town, he and Andrea were able to complete some wedding tasks. How They Met

Andrea and Jason first met on the dating app Bumble.  At the time, Andrea was coaching varsity volleyball; and her players made an arrangement that if they won league and went undefeated for the season, they would be able to set Andrea up on a dating app.  By the end of the season, they were undefeated; and they won league!  Her team was getting antsy to start the process, but Andrea wanted a practice run before having any additional help from her team. When she started out on the Bumble app, she immediately saw Jason.  She started to message him.  After chatting for a while, they decided to meet in person.  Their first date ended up being a seven-hour date which included a walk around the beautiful campus of California State University, Chico.

The Proposal

Jason is a pilot in the Air Force; and he is currently stationed in Grand Forks, North Dakota. They have been in a long distance relationship; and due to the pandemic, they had a very limited number of visits in 2020.  Andrea was able to fly out to visit Jason for her birthday in November.  On the morning of her birthday, she opened her gifts from her beloved.  Jason gave her a stuffed animal deer with a candy ring pop tied around its neck.  When she looked bewildered at Jason, he dropped on one knee and began his proposal with the sweetest words and affirmations of love.  She said yes!

Andrea and Jason, it was so good to meet you in person! You made my job so fun and so easy. The love you share is undeniable and easy for everyone to see. The smiles and laughter you two exchanged are difficult to beat. I am so excited for you to see some of my many favorites from your gorgeous engagement session at Andrea’s home.
