When I first met Kristin before social distancing was here, she was newly engaged and beaming with joy! She looked forward to Jeremy returning from North Dakota for them to take their engagement pictures. Unfortunately, around the time of their engagement session I slipped and injured my back on a rainy day. Kristin and Jeremy’s engagement session was days away. We postponed their session once; and then by the second engagement session date, I still was not able to move around freely. We were limited on time before Jeremy returned to North Dakota. I called up friends and fellow photographers, Joel Jauregui Photography and Kendal; and they were available to meet in Corning for their engagement session. Kristin and Jeremy originally were matched on the dating app match.com. They started out by messaging each other through the app. Kristin assumed that Jeremy was located in Corning, California; because that is what his profile stated. However, throughout their communications, she learned that Jeremy was located in North Dakota for work. Jeremy returned home for his sister’s wedding, and they were able to hang out for the first time. Jeremy came home again for a friend’s wedding, and they went out again. Soon they were hanging out each and every day when Jeremy returned home.
Kristin had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day of this past year. Jeremy was hopeful that Kristin could join him and his family in the town of Corning when Kristin got off work. Kristin was not scheduled to get off work until 7:30 PM. She was fortunate to get off work at 4:30 PM that evening. She was able to make it in time for Christmas festivities. After gifts were exchanged, all of the kids took pictures with Grandma. After a variety of different combinations of pictures, Kristin and Jeremy were called up for a picture of just the two of them. Kristin thought it was odd that so many people were standing up to take their picture. After they took their picture together, Jeremy dropped to one knee and asked Kristin to marry him. She said yes! They have lots of documentation from this special day, because everyone was recording a video and not taking pictures!
Kristin and Jeremy, I wish I could have been there to witness the love you two share. It is obvious by your pictures to see how much you two care about each other and how comfortable you are in each other’s arms. I cannot wait for your November wedding to witness you two exchange your wedding vows. Jeremy, I look forward to meeting you! I am so excited for you to see some of my many favorites from your engagement session!
Thank you, Joel Jauregui Photography and Kendal for capturing Kristin and Jeremy’s engagement session.
