It was wonderful to finally meet Abigail and Daniel in person. Up until this day, we had only FaceTimed to chat. Both Abigail and Daniel returned home for Christmas and we were able to capture this exciting chapter in their lives. Both of them attended California State University, Chico, so taking their engagement pictures on campus held a special place in their hearts. We then drove down the road to Bidwell Park where Abigail’s mother met us with their puppy dog, Walt. (Read their proposal story below and you will understand the meaning behind his name.)
Abigail and Daniel met through their rowing team at California State University, Chico. Daniel was in charge of all of the logistics of setting up carpools and arranging who rode with whom. Abigail gave Daniel her phone number because she had a car in town and was able to drive her teammates around. Abigail noticed that Daniel kept placing himself in her car. Soon, it became apparent to their teammates that there was something special going on between the two of them. They were fortunate to see each other every day and for their relationship to grow quickly.
Abigail and Daniel are big Disney fans. They planned a week-long vacation to enjoy Mickey Mouse and his family. Abigail was hopeful that Daniel would propose during this trip, but she never guessed that he would do it actually ON her favorite ride; the teacups! They walked up to their teacup and Abigail asked Daniel why his hands were shaking. He proposed as they sat down in their teacup; just before the ride started to spin. She said yes!! Abigail was dizzy with emotion and happiness!
Abigail and Daniel, you two are amazing together and you made my afternoon so enjoyable! It was a treat to meet the two of you, see your brilliant personalities shine, and to get a sneak peek into your relationship. It is easy to see how much love you two share and how comfortable you are in each other’s arms. You truly enjoy being together and that brings a smile to my face. I am so excited for you to see some of my many favorites from your engagement session at your old stomping ground!
