Katie and Ryan’s family stepped out of the car looking amazing in their fancy holiday attire! From the moment we started their session at Bidwell Park Golf Course until the session was over, I enjoyed each and every moment with their family. I had the opportunity to get to know Katie and Ryan’s children when I photographed their family last year, so this year I was anxious to see everyone again. Katie and Ryan are also Chicoians that I went to school with. Katie’s parents were also good friends with my parents when we were younger. It is so much fun to see friendly faces from our past. Katie and Ryan’s children as so sweet to each other, I am guessing that they never argue or fight. 😉 Their son was loving the “creepy forest” created by the olive tree rows on the golf course. He wanted to continue to explore the trail and to have his family join him on this exploration. Their daughter was just happy to be a part of the family. She was elated when I had she and her brother hold hands, she loved the tickles with the family pictures, and most of all, I think she loved pictures with just her mommy.

Katie and Ryan, it was so much fun to spend the afternoon with your family. You two are lucky to call these babes yours. Your children are quite lucky to have you as their loving parents as well. Katie, I loved getting a moment to check in with you and to get caught up. You have no idea how much I needed that moment. The love your family shares is undeniable! The spark in your eyes and the big genuine smiles you all share is incredibly easy to see. I cannot wait for you to see some of my many favorites from your family portrait session.
