Diana and Miguel desired to have their engagement session at the beautiful New Clairvaux Vineyard in Vina, California. The property held so much beauty with an endless amount of picture locations, we ran out of time to use all of my top picture locations. Diana was hoping to capture the teal doors at the tasting room, and I was wanting to capture them in the vineyard arches. Diana and Miguel were such naturals at taking pictures together that they now have too many pictures in their engagement gallery. You can view more engagement sessions here.

How They Met

These two lovebirds met in high school. They shared a few classes together, and they remember marching in band together. They did go to a movie together before they started dating, and Diana’s younger brother needed to attend with them as a chaperone. A little later, they started dating; and they have not stopped.

The Proposal

Diana and Miguel were at Disneyland on vacation. Diana was getting a caricature artwork done. Miguel had communicated with the caricature artist beforehand, so the artist would draw a picture of both of them with a speech bubble coming from Miguel that said, “Will you marry me?”.  Diana had noticed that the family that was getting a caricature beside them had already finished, but they were lingering around and continued to watch her artist paint. As soon as the artist was finished, the canvas was then revealed to Diana, and it was there that she saw Miguel down on one knee and the speech bubble coming from Cartoon Miguel with the “Will you marry me?” speech bubble. The artist then had Diana write her answer in her blank speech bubble. She wrote “Yes”!

Diana and Miguel, I had a wonderful time with you two at New Clairvaux Vineyard. Thank you for traveling to Chico for this special day. You two looked amazing, but the love you have radiates throughout your pictures. I see how much love you two share by the way you giggle and smile at each other. I can see how comfortable you are in each other’s arms. I love how Miguel can get Diana to giggle at any moment! I am so excited for the two of you to see some of my many favorites from your engagement session. I cannot wait to photograph your wedding in April!
