Due to the unfortunate Carr Fire and the Mendocino Complex Fire burning, there was ash landing on the ground and a smokey haze in the air for Marcelle and Kevin’s elegant garden wedding at the home of the mother-of-the-bride.  The smoke did not put a damper on the wedding though; it only made the day more romantic.  Every detail of their garden wedding was well planned out, and it was a dream to photograph.  Timeless, romantic, and perfection are the words to describe their wedding day.

Marcelle and Kevin’s wedding was a family affair!  Two families were joining to become one. The only bridal party members that joined the bride and groom at the altar were Marcelle and Kevin’s children, the officiant was Marcelle’s uncle, the bartenders were Marcelle’s brothers, and as the guests arrived, they were greeted by Marcelle and Kevin’s children.  This was not the only time I have photographed Marcelle and Kevin’s family.  You can view their fall family portraits from last year here.

Besides seeing the wonderful support system that Marcelle and Kevin had joining them for their wedding day, I was in awe as I heard Marcelle’s daughter beautifully sing for the couple during the ceremony.  I thoroughly enjoyed hearing Marcelle and Kevin’s vows as the officiant read them out loud.  Marcelle had vowed to allow Kevin to enjoy all of his outdoor toys, and Kevin vowed that he would never make Marcelle go camping.  Their expressions were priceless as their vows were shared during their ceremony!

Marcelle and Kevin, I was truly honored to photograph your gorgeous wedding day!  You had the most beautiful and classy decor, appetizers, and venue!  The love you two share is easily seen; because it radiates from the two of you, and then it is reflected on to the family and friends you had in attendance.  Your joy was contagious; and it was a pleasure to photograph all of the hugs, kisses, and laughter from your wedding day!  I am so excited to share some of my many favorite pictures with you!  Cheers!
