I cannot believe that this big boy is already one year old.  I feel like we were just in Upper Bidwell Park with balloons that spelled out “B-A-B-Y” for Abbie and Dan’s pregnancy announcement.  So much has changed in over a year and a half!  This time we were back in Upper Bidwell Park and Abbie had balloons that spelled out “O-N-E”.  Fortunately, this time we did not lose a balloon in the sky!  Every single time I have seen this young man, he is nothing but smiles and joy.  Right before bedtime could be a challenging time of day, especially when the birthday boy wants to do nothing but explore!  Their whole family was so excited for this momentous birthday; only days away at the time of their session.

I have been so fortunate to be a part of Abbie and Dan’s love story!  Abbie contacted me shortly after she learned she was pregnant, and they were ready to share the news!  Their puppy dog, Gus, helped to make the announcement; and he is also featured in this one-year birthday celebration.  I then was asked to document their pregnancy with a maternity session.  I wanted to be sure to get their maternity blog post up before the baby arrived, and he came that same day!  I was also able to capture their large family session with Abbie’s side of the family.  There is nothing sweeter than grandparents with their grandchildren!  You can watch Abbie and Dan’s love story grow here: Pregnancy Announcement, Maternity, and Family.

Abbie and Dan, I am so thankful that you have allowed me to watch your family grow.  I cannot believe how quickly time has passed, and that you now have a toddler!  He is quite an impressive young man!  I do nothing but smile as I look over your gallery.  Do you just stare at him all day in awe?!  I cannot wait for you to see some of my many favorites from your birthday boy’s one-year-old session.
