Susan’s daughters surprised her with a portrait session as a gift for her birthday. We recently captured their spring family session in the grassy fields of Chico. The sunshine was warm, and this made it feel even more like a spring day! When I taught high school physical education, I also coached the junior varsity softball team. Susan and Russell’s daughter, Shelby, was on my team; and she was an amazing pitcher! When I took a break from teaching for maternity leave, Shelby made my older daughter a custom onesie to wear to the softball field. I was so excited when Shelby contacted me about a family session, because I wanted to see her and her family again! Susan and Russell have a beautiful family that did a wonderful job taking pictures! I know it was a good session when my cheeks hurt from smiling, and I wish our time together was not coming to an end. We were able to capture many family pictures and then so many pictures of their granddaughter! She is the cutest busy bee of a toddler! Everyone looked amazing in their attire, and they came prepared to get smiles from the youngest in their family. Some of my favorite moments were when Susan and Rusell’s granddaughter was giving out kisses. They were not easy to come by, but they were so adorable when they were given out!
Susan and Russell, it was a joy to see you all again and to meet the newest members of your family! Your family was outstanding, and I truly enjoyed my time with you! I loved seeing Russell interact with his granddaughter. I can see that she has him wrapped around her finger! I hope you print your pictures for you to enjoy for years to come. I am so excited for you to see some of my many favorite pictures from our time together!
