How They Met

Rubie and Ryan share the same hometown, but they just missed meeting each other in high school; because Rubie entered high school just as Ryan had graduated.  Rubie is friends with Ryan’s sister, and Rubie was in awe when she learned that her friend had an older brother!  Rubie and Ryan had originally met at a house party, but soon Rubie was living with Ryan’s sister; and the two of them started to hang out.  They will have dated for five years when they wed in December of this year in Rome.

The Proposal

Ryan had blown off his plans with Rubie in order to go hunting instead, or so he told her.  Rubie did not think anything of Ryan’s hunting excuse, because he does enjoy hunting.  Ryan’s sister knew of Ryan’s plan though, and she talked Rubie into going for a walk in Bidwell Park.  Rubie was not in a rush to get out the door, so she took her time getting ready.  Then she decided that she would eat a snack.  Ryan’s sister was a little shocked when Rubie was not ready to leave the house when she wanted.  Instead of hunting like Ryan had told Rubie, he was hiding in the park bushes waiting for his cue to step out to surprise Rubie with a proposal.  Unfortunately, Ryan then realized that he was in the wrong place to intercept the ladies on their walk.  Ryan had to jog about a mile and a half with their dogs to be on the correct path.  Rubie remembers walking and seeing a man that looked a lot like Ryan step onto the park path.  She then realized that it was Ryan!  All of the puzzle pieces then fell into place as Ryan got down on one knee to propose to Rubie.  She said yes!

Rubie and Ryan have been dating for years, and they have already discussed getting married.  When Ryan proposed to Rubie, they knew that they were ready; and they are getting married just a few months after their engagement.  Roma, Italia, will be their wedding destination; and they already have so much lined up for their wedding day.

Rubie and Ryan, you two are so much fun to be around; and I can see how much you love one another.  I have too many favorites from your session, because you are so comfortable cuddled up in each other’s arms.  You made my job so easy!  I smile as I look at your engagement pictures, because I can see the love and laughter you two share.  I am taken back to the moments when you two would kiss and then giggle those perfect smiles while your heads continued to linger close together.  I am so happy that you two have found each other, and I am so excited to watch your love story grow!  Thank you for trusting me with your engagement pictures.  Rome suits the two of you perfectly!
