Summer and Arturo met on the softball field.  It was not quite love at first sight.  Summer was discussing with a friend about how Arturo had a horrible baseball swing for the game of slow pitch softball!  Fast forward to their first date.  They had plans to go to dinner in Chico.  Arturo’s truck had been acting up.  He was honest with Summer when he shared that he did not think traveling to Chico was a good idea.  They ended up at their local Applebee’s instead.  Summer was impressed that Arturo was being real and not trying to give the impression that everything was perfect all of the time.  This was the beginning of their love story.

These two may be the sweetest couple I have ever met!  Arturo is going to make an amazing father, because he already does an amazing job looking out for Summer.  He truly treats Summer like a queen.  Arturo’s good impression started when we shook hands, and Summer encouraged him to get dressed.  I thought he was already dressed for their maternity session, but he came back in coordinating clothes to Summer’s dress.  It is true love when a man dresses up for their portrait session!

Arturo then offered to carry Summer into the grass to avoid her getting stickers in her shoes.  When Summer did a quick outfit change, Arturo held a towel up to give Summer some privacy in the Honey Run Covered Bridge parking lot.  When Summer sat down to change her shoes, Arturo placed the shoes on Summer’s feet for her and buckled them like she was Cinderella.  This was the sweetest moment!  Arturo then helped guide Summer down the hillside to the creek, where he then continued to support Summer over the rocks at the creekside.  To view more love and maternity sessions at the Honey Run Covered Bridge, please click on Abbie and Dan, Janie, and Heather.

Summer and Arturo, it was so much fun to spend the evening with you two (three)!  Summer, you looked gorgeous!  I am so proud of the amazing person you are today.  I am so glad you were a part of my teaching story, and I had the opportunity to coach you during your high school days.  It is so fun to see you all grown up and soon-to-be mommy!  You two are going to make amazing parents to your little lady!  I hope you cherish these pictures forever!  Hugs!
